Studio Updates + Relocation
Hello friends, family, and supporters. It has been a while since my last newsletter update. After graduating from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, for the past two and a half years I have been living in San Francisco and working as a professor in Sculpture and Ceramics at the San Francisco Art Institute. I recently accepted a position at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit as an Assistant Professor and Section Head of their Ceramics program, starting this winter/spring semester. I am incredibly grateful for the richness of my experience teaching at SFAI among such a unique and energized group of students, professors, and administrators. I very much love and will miss the community I have built in the Bay Area. The past two+ years in the Bay have been fruitful creatively, particularly thinking of my solo exhibition at the Museum of the African Diaspora in 2017 and my recent solo exhibition at Traywick Contemporary that just came down this year. I am very much looking forward to settling into life in Detroit. I am also excited about the new community of artists that I will have the privilege of teaching and working alongside at the College for Creative Studies. Below are a few updates on current and upcoming shows and events that I am a part of. I will hope to connect with some of you all at them. Take care.
